We had mixed feelings about our experiences with Core Contractors and would like to offer some insights to help others. ...Pros- Our kitchen cabinets, counters and tile floors came out great. High-quality products and the installation was very detailed and beautiful!- Our contractor was very communicative. He made time to answer all our questions and never rushed us through a call or anything.- Shout out to Oleg the tile guy, who did amazing work, communicated well, and was a pleasure to have in our home.Cons- Demo team showed up unannounced on a Sunday morning to demo our cabinets. They were supposed to come the following day so we had to rush getting everything out of cabinets and ready for them so as not to delay the process.- Frequently, subcontractors showed up and needed clarification about the work to be done. Contractor was not here to meet them or had not given clear instructions it seemed, as we had to be on the front lines of trying to answer their questions or messaging contractor to clear things up. This led to several misunderstandings as we have no experience with a project like this and in some cases work had to be done over again.- Cabinet subcontractors were often loudly yelling at each other inside our house and smoking in our driveway, seemed unprofessional and off-putting- Communication on details was not always great, for example I asked about the possibility of adding some shelves, and without further discussion this was implemented and executed, resulting in our cabinets unexpectedly extending 5 inches further on the other side into our dining space than expected. In a small space this affects a lot and we couldn't fit a piece of furniture we had been using. Would have appreciated being told about this major impact the shelf would have on the project so we could decide.- Counters ended up being 1 inch higher than counter height range (37"). Technically, floors were lower than before resulting in everything feeling higher, which is tough for appliances fitting and kids being able to reach things.- Final paint color did not match paint sample. Needed more primer?- This contractor offers incentives for 5-star reviews, which feels unethical.Despite all this I would still possibly recommend Core if you are someone who has a good idea of what you want and already have experience working with contractors/subcontractors. Maybe they were not the best fit for us as they seemed to have dozens of other projects going at the same time, making details of our project get lost if we didn't stay on top of taking notes, studying designs, asking questions, etc. But the end product was good and we are mostly pleased with how it turned out.

He worked closely with us after two large trees fell on our home during a wind storm. The damage to our home was extensive. One of the most important things when you have a home project is communication, otherwise you are in for a not so fun experience. Well these guys know that very well. They were assigned to us by our insurance company and they communicated with us as we worked with our nightmare insurance company. Communicated during the project, and communicated after. I had a great experience with them for my reconstruction project from beginning to end. They navigated my insurance claim effectively, and they handled drywall, painting, baseboards, electrical, and plumbing.My project manager Joshua and Roman were particularly helpful, and checked in almost every week. We hired Core Contractors to refinish our oak floors, which included lacing in new boards to repair damaged sections, sanding, staining, and sealing. I honestly cannot tell where the original floorboards end and the new ones begin because the match is so seamless and perfect. They also replaced all of our baseboards, maintaining the period-appropriate style. This was one thing that really made Core Contractors stand out vs the other GCs that we spoke with. They showed professionalism in the way they stayed true to our vision rather than trying to upsell us on something we didn't want.In addition to the hardwood floors, Core Contractors also carpeted our stairs, a hallway, and two bedrooms. The carpet installation was done with the same level of precision and quality we saw with the hardwood flooring.The efficiency of their team was incredible. Core contractors was amazing. We had a tree fall on our house during the bomb cyclone of November 2024. We were able to get in contact with core contractors and between Josh and Roman they got our roof tarped to be safe, coordinated everything through insurance. The roofers were very efficient and courteous and clean and got our roof taken care of very quickly. The siding subcontractors were very much the same and took very good care of us. Roman and Josh kept us in the loop constantly we were always updated as to what's happening and when. Whenever we had questions they were readily available and had the answers for us. I feel like we struck gold with core contractors. They were so helpful in such a stressful time. We could not have asked for anymore. I would recommend core contractors to anyone for any of your general contracting needs.
